Introduction
Responsible for generating sales opportunities, managing client relationships, supporting the tendering process, and achieving order intake targets. Focuses on client engagement, opportunity follow-up, coordination with internal teams, and ensuring successful conversion of opportunities into awarded projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Generate leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
- Support business growth across target sectors and clients.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate them internally.
- Ensure timely response to client requests and inquiries.
- Opportunity Management
- Manage opportunities from lead stage until project award.
- Coordinate with Tendering and Engineering teams during proposal preparation.
- Support bid submissions, clarifications, and negotiations.
- Track opportunity progress and client feedback.
- Commercial Coordination
- Support pricing discussions and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure proposals align with customer expectations and requirements.
- Coordinate internally to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Assist in contract finalization and project handover.
- Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records and opportunity updates.
- Prepare regular sales activity and pipeline reports.
- Track sales performance and forecast updates.
- Ensure compliance with company sales processes.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate qualification in sales/marketing is a plus.
Experience
5-8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles, ideally within an engineering, industrial, EPC, or project-based environment. Demonstrated track record of managing opportunities from lead generation through to contract award, including exposure to tendering and proposal processes.
