Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and month-end/year-end closing activities. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining compliance with IFRS and local regulations, strengthening internal controls, and supporting management with reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily accounting operations and accounting team activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain the General Ledger, Trial Balance, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee banking transactions, loan accounting, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, ZATCA regulations, VAT, WHT, Zakat, and corporate tax requirements.
• Review financial transactions, accounting entries, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and support audit requirements.
• Manage ERP accounting controls, chart of accounts, and financial system integrity.
• Collaborate with reporting, budgeting, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, VAT, Zakat, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.

Preferred Industry Experience: Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Production, or Multi-Entity Organizations.
