Front Line Defenders، منظمة دولية تعمل حصرياً لحماية المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان المعرضين للخطر، تعلن عن توفر وظيفة منسق حماية لمنطقة شرق وجنوب إفريقيا (عمل عن بعد - مقر الوظيفة في المنطقة) في منطقة مكة المكرمة. هذه الوظيفة دائمة وتقدم تقاريرها إلى رئيس قسم إفريقيا.
نبذة عن الوظيفة
فريق المنطقة يقود أعمال Front Line Defenders في المنطقة، مع مسؤولية تحديد الأولويات وتوجيه استجابات الحماية وضمان توزيع الموارد لتحقيق أقصى أثر للمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان. يلعب الفريق الإقليمي دوراً محورياً في تشكيل التوجه المؤسسي من خلال ضمان أن تكون الاستراتيجيات والأساليب والتدخلات مدفوعة بالأولويات الإقليمية، مع المساهمة المباشرة في الاستراتيجية العالمية والموقع. يتحمل منسق الحماية مسؤولية قيادة استجابة مناسبة وفي الوقت المناسب للمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان المعرضين للخطر في شرق وجنوب إفريقيا، وضمان تقديم دعم حماية شامل وفعال. كما يتحمل مسؤولية الحفاظ على علاقات المنظمة مع المدافعين في المنطقة وتطويرها، وتوفير استجابة سريعة لحالات الخطر المباشر، وتحديد أولويات البحث حول التهديدات والهجمات التي يواجهونها، وتقديم التحليل وإنتاج المواد ذات الصلة لاتخاذ إجراءات لدعمهم، والمساهمة في جميع البرامج والأنشطة الأخرى الخاصة بالدول الموكلة إليه.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- التواصل مع المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان المعرضين للخطر، مع تطبيق منظور تقاطعي، وإنشاء اتصالات آمنة معهم والحفاظ عليها.
- تقديم استجابة سريعة لحالات المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان المعرضين للخطر، بما في ذلك على سبيل المثال لا الحصر من خلال نظام الاستئناف العاجل.
- تقديم مدخلات متخصصة لبرامج المنظمة في مجالات المناصرة والظهور وبناء القدرات ومنح الحماية.
- دعم الأنشطة والاستراتيجيات لضمان التواصل مع المدافعات عن حقوق الإنسان من النساء وغير الثنائيات، وتحليل شامل للنوع الاجتماعي لتجاربهن كمدافعات.
- تحديد أو إجراء أو التعاون في أبحاث حول مجموعة من قضايا الحماية والفجوات المتعلقة بها.
- تطوير الاتصالات والتنسيق مع المنظمات الإقليمية وغيرها ذات الصلة فيما يتعلق بعمل المنظمة لحماية المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان في المنطقة.
- التعاون اليومي الوثيق وتحديد أولويات العمل مع الفريق الإقليمي (الموظفين العاملين في شرق وجنوب إفريقيا من مختلف فرق المنظمة).
- قيادة وتنسيق التخطيط السنوي العام للأنشطة في المنطقة.
الشروط والمتطلبات
- مهارات ممتازة في التواصل الكتابي والشفوي والقدرة على العمل باللغة الإنجليزية.
- القدرة على تقديم معلومات كتابية دقيقة وموضوعية في بيئة عالية الضغط تتطلب استجابة عاجلة للتهديدات ضد المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان.
- معرفة بالاتجاهات الرئيسية لحقوق الإنسان في المنطقة وتأثيرها على المدافعين وحركاتهم؛ القدرة على إظهار فهم دقيق للسياقات التي تعمل فيها مجتمعات المدافعين المحليين.
- القدرة على العمل بشكل جيد مع مجموعة واسعة من الأشخاص من ثقافات وخلفيات وتجارب مختلفة، مع التعاطف والحدود الواضحة.
- معرفة ولو أساسية بالممارسات والاتجاهات الرئيسية في مجال المرونة والرفاهية لكل من المدافعين ومناصريهم.
- معرفة أساسية على الأقل بأدوات الأمن الرقمي والاتجاهات في المجالات المتعلقة بحرية التعبير والتهديدات عبر الإنترنت والسياسات ذات الصلة.
- خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في العمل مع مجموعة متنوعة من المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان.
- خبرة مع مجموعة واسعة من المدافعين، وفهم قوي للمخاطر الجنسانية وغيرها التي تواجهها المدافعات عن حقوق الإنسان من النساء والمدافعين من مجتمع الميم.
- خبرة في صياغة التقارير وإجراء الأبحاث وأي مهام أخرى تتطلب مهارات كتابية تحليلية.
- خبرة في العمل مع فرق متنوعة، خاصة في البيئات الطارئة.

Role Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Connect with human rights defenders at risk, while applying intersectional lens, and establish and sustain secure communications with them;
- Provide rapid response to cases of human rights defenders at risk, including but not limited to through the urgent appeal system;
- Provide expert input to Front Line Defenders’ advocacy, visibility, capacity building and protection grants programmes;
- Support on activities and strategies to ensure outreach to women and non-binary human rights defenders and overall gendered analysis of their experiences as defenders;
- Identify, undertake or collaborate on research on a range of protection related issues and gap areas;
- Develop contacts and liaise with relevant regional and other organisations with regard to Front Line Defenders’ work for the protection of human rights defenders in the region;
- Close daily collaboration and workload prioritization with the regional team (staff working on East and Southern Africa from different FLD teams);
- Lead and coordinate overall annual planning of activities in the region;

Interested applicants must have:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work in English;
- Ability to deliver accurate and objective written information in a high pressure environment dictated by the need to respond urgently to threats against human rights defenders;
- Knowledge of key human rights trends in the region and their impact on human rights defenders and their movements; ability to demonstrate a nuanced understanding of contexts in which local HRD communities operate;
- Ability to work well with a wide range of people from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences, with empathy and clear boundaries;
- At least some knowledge of key practices and trends in the area of resiliency and well-being for both HRDs and their advocates;
- At least basic knowledge of digital security tools and trends in areas related to freedom of expression, online threats and relevant policies.
- At least 5 years of experience working with a diverse range of human rights defenders;
- Experience with a wide range of defenders, and a strong understanding of the gendered and other risks women human rights defenders and LGBTIQ+ defenders face;
- Experience with drafting reports, conducting research and any other tasks where analytical writing skills are required;
- Experience working with diverse teams, especially in emergency settings.
