We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, with a strong focus on industrial safety, fire prevention, and compliance with relevant international regulations and agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and international conventions.
- Monitor and evaluate workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver safety awareness and training programs.
- Oversee fire prevention systems, emergency response plans, and firefighting readiness.
- Prepare safety reports, records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with operational teams to promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering or a related field.
- Certification or training courses in:
- Industrial Safety.
- Preventive Safety.
- Firefighting Fundamentals.
- Shipboard Firefighting and/or Port Firefighting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar safety engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety practices and relevant international safety conventions and regulations.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of risk management and emergency response planning.
- Experience in marine, port, industrial, or logistics environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety excellence.
