Vast Group is growing rapidly, and we're looking for a highly capable Senior Accountant to help build and scale the financial infrastructure behind one of Saudi Arabia's most exciting fintech startups.

Working closely with the CFO and executive leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and investor readiness as the company continues its growth journey.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts in accordance with IFRS and applicable KSA accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of management accounts, board reports, and investor-grade financial reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure timely invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Resolve customer and vendor account discrepancies in a timely manner.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with ZATCA requirements, including VAT filings, Zakat obligations, and withholding tax reporting.
• Support communications with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements relevant to fintech businesses.
• Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and supporting documentation.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Monitor daily cash positions and support weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting.
• Manage banking relationships and support liquidity planning.
• Assist in treasury reporting and cash management activities.

Payroll & Financial Operations

• Process monthly payroll in compliance with Saudi Labor Law and GOSI requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee cost allocations and departmental reporting.
• Support operational finance activities across the business.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
• Provide financial data and insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.

• Assist with financial models, investor reporting, and fundraising activities.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Support external audit engagements and prepare required audit schedules and documentation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Startup Finance & Growth Support

• Assist with investor reporting, due diligence preparation, and data room management.
• Support corporate finance initiatives, financial analysis, and strategic projects.
• Contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial systems, policies, and ERP platforms that support future growth.

What We’re Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is a strong advantage.

Experience

• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior accounting role.
• Proven experience managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Strong experience with VAT, Zakat, and ZATCA compliance requirements.
• Experience in fintech, SaaS, technology, or high-growth startup environments is highly preferred.
• Exposure to investor-facing reporting, fundraising support, or audit processes is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP and accounting platforms such as Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoorah) requirements is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, cash flow management, and accounting best practices.
