The Cashier is responsible for managing all cash and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service. This role serves as the final point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive, smooth, and professional checkout experience that reflects the company's values.

• Financial Transactions: Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital wallet transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system; issue receipts, refunds, and correct change.
• Customer Service: Welcome customers warmly upon arrival at the checkout counter, answer basic inquiries, and ensure a friendly, polite interaction.
• Cash Drawer Reconciliation: Count and verify the cash float at the beginning of the shift; balance and reconcile the cash drawer against system reports at the end of the shift to ensure zero discrepancies.
• Checkout Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies such as receipt paper, shopping bags, and promotional materials.
• Returns & Exchanges: Handle product returns and exchanges efficiently in accordance with the company’s policies.
• Promotional Awareness: Inform customers about ongoing discounts, loyalty programs, or upcoming store promotions to drive engagement.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus).
• Experience: Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred (entry-level candidates with strong skills may be considered).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic equipment, cash registers, barcode scanners, and modern POS software.

• Mathematical Skills: Strong basic math skills to calculate totals, handle cash transactions, and provide correct change without errors.
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers and team members.
• Integrity & Detail-Oriented: High level of honesty, trustworthiness, and attention to detail when handling financial assets.
• Stamina & Stress Tolerance: Ability to stand for extended periods and remain calm, fast, and polite during peak hours or high-volume shifts.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
