Application Engineer

Department: Sales / Engineering

Reports To: Sales Manager

Job Summary

Systemair Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to provide technical support for HVAC products and solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, selecting appropriate products, preparing technical submittals and quotations, supporting the sales team, and coordinating with customers, consultants, and internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of technically compliant HVAC solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Select HVAC equipment in accordance with project requirements and international standards.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and compliance statements.
• Perform equipment selection using Systemair selection software and engineering tools.
• Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, and material submissions for consultant approval.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during the bidding and negotiation process.
• Review consultant comments and provide technical clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, AHRI, SMACNA, Eurovent, and local Saudi regulations where applicable.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records.
• Support project handover by providing technical documentation and required engineering assistance.
• Stay updated with new HVAC technologies, products, and market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience as an Application Engineer, HVAC Design Engineer, Sales Support Engineer, or Technical Engineer.
• Experience in the HVAC industry is mandatory.
• Experience in preparing technical submittals and equipment selections.
• Familiarity with consultant approval processes.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and HVAC design principles.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using HVAC selection software (Systemair, Carrier HAP, Elite, Revit MEP, or similar) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
