As part of its next phase of growth, EDECS is expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia and developing new platforms across infrastructure investment, logistics, data centers, energy, and specialized engineering.

Position Overview:

EDECS is seeking a highly experienced and well-connected Head of Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships - KSA to lead the origination and development of strategic opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will identify, develop, and advance acquisitions, joint ventures, co-investments, concessions, PPPs, strategic partnerships, and market-entry opportunities aligned with EDECS’s growth strategy.

The role requires a corporate development professional who combines strong senior-level relationships across the Saudi business and investment ecosystem with the commercial and transaction capabilities required to convert introductions into qualified opportunities, signed agreements, and completed transactions.

The position will be based in Riyadh and report directly to the Group Investments Director.

Responsibilities:

1. Corporate Development

• Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, PPPs, concessions, and new business opportunities.
• Identify acquisition targets, investors, operators, local partners, and technology providers.
• Prepare preliminary opportunity assessments covering strategic rationale, commercial structure, capital requirements, potential returns, and key risks.
• Support negotiations, due diligence, transaction structuring, Investment Committee submissions, and closing.

2. Strategic Partnerships

• Build senior relationships with Saudi family groups, investment companies, government-linked entities, PIF portfolio companies, financial institutions, developers, and operators.
• Represent EDECS in strategic discussions with potential partners, investors, project sponsors, and relevant authorities.
• Establish consortiums and partnerships involving investors, operators, contractors, lenders, and technology providers.
• Convert relationships and market intelligence into qualified opportunities and signed agreements.
• Maintain a structured map of priority decision-makers, partners, investors, and acquisition targets.

3. Infrastructure and New Business Development

• Originate opportunities across construction, infrastructure, logistics, ports, data centers, energy, utilities, and specialized engineering.
• Identify suitable PPP, BOT, BOO, concession, and project-development opportunities.
• Coordinate with EDECS’s technical and operational teams to evaluate delivery capabilities, commercial assumptions, and risks.
• Recommend whether EDECS should build, acquire, invest, or partner when entering new sectors.
• Support opportunities from initial development through negotiation and financial close.

4. Capital Partnerships

• Develop relationships with family offices, infrastructure funds, private equity firms, banks, sovereign investors, and strategic investors.
• Identify suitable equity, debt, project-finance, and co-investment partners for approved initiatives.
• Support the preparation and presentation of investment opportunities to potential capital partners.
• Coordinate with the Group Investments Director on valuation, financial structuring, capital requirements, and expected returns.

5. Governance and Reporting

• Maintain a live opportunity pipeline showing value, probability, strategic fit, risks, decision dates, and next actions.
• Prepare regular reports for the Group Investments Director and Chairman.
• Coordinate corporate development activities across investment, finance, legal, technical, and operational teams.
• Lead opportunity origination and external commercial engagement while the Group Investments Director retains responsibility for valuation, financial underwriting, capital allocation, Investment Committee recommendations, and portfolio monitoring.
• Ensure that no binding commitment is made without the appropriate internal approval.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, business administration, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including substantial experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience originating and executing acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, concessions, PPPs, or strategic partnerships.
• Strong senior-level relationships across the Saudi investment, infrastructure, government-linked, family-business, and corporate ecosystem.
• Demonstrated ability to convert relationships into signed agreements, awarded projects, completed investments, or financially closed transactions.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, transaction structuring, due diligence, and investment-approval processes.
• Experience across infrastructure, logistics, digital infrastructure, energy, utilities, real estate, project finance, or principal investment.
• Strong commercial judgment, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is strongly preferred.
