تسعى شركة Pasqal لتعيين مهندس حلول كمومية (Quantum Solutions Engineer - H/F) في مكة ثول، السعودية.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- تنفيذ مشاريع العملاء المتعلقة بالتحسين الكمومي بدءاً من المناقشات التقنية المبكرة وتأطير المشكلة وصولاً إلى تسليم المشروع.
- دعم الفريق التجاري في تنفيذ دراسات الجدوى وتحديد نطاق العمل لمشاريع العملاء المستقبلية.
- ترجمة مشاكل العالم الحقيقي إلى صيغ تحسينية وتقييم استراتيجيات الحلول باستخدام مزيج من التفكير التحليلي والتجارب الرقمية.
- التحقيق في أحدث الأبحاث (أكاديمية وصناعية) وتجميعها لتحديد الاتجاهات ذات الصلة وتقييم الجدوى واقتراح مسارات بحثية مؤثرة.
- تطوير وتوسيع نطاق حلول التحسين الكمومي لحالات استخدام العملاء على معالجات Pasqal الكمومية، وتحسين حالات الاستخدام الحالية وتوسيعها.
- تصميم وتشغيل دراسات القياس والجدوى، بما في ذلك تقييم قيود الأساليب التقليدية وتحديد مسارات واقعية نحو الفائدة الكمومية.
- تطوير الحلول وخطوط التجارب بالتعاون الوثيق مع فريق هندسة البرمجيات باستخدام أنظمة المحاكاة محلياً وعلى الحوسبة عالية الأداء (HPC) عند الحاجة.
- العمل مع مراعاة قيود العتاد: التحقيق في التطبيقات الواقعية على عتاد الذرات المحايدة (باستخدام النماذج التناظرية بشكل أساسي).
- تحديد مخططات للفائدة الكمومية لحالات استخدام العملاء والتعاون الوثيق مع فرق البحث والتطوير في العتاد لتحقيقها.
- التعاون مع الأطراف الداخلية والخارجية (الهندسة، البحث والتطوير، الشركاء الأكاديميين والصناعيين، والعملاء) خلال جميع مراحل المشروع لضمان التوافق على النطاق التقني ومعايير النجاح والتسليمات.
- دعم تنفيذ الفريق ومشاركة المعرفة، بما في ذلك المساعدة في الكود/المكونات خارج نطاق المسؤولية المباشرة عند الحاجة، والمساهمة في أنشطة الرصد العلمي المستمرة.
الشروط والمتطلبات
- درجة ماجستير أو دكتوراه في التحسين التوافقي (Combinatorial Optimization)، الحوسبة الكمومية، أو مجال ذي صلة.
- خبرة لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في دور مماثل.
المهارات المطلوبة
- خبرة مثبتة في التحسين التوافقي: الإلمام بالمشاكل التقليدية، البرمجة الخطية، البرمجة المقيدة، الاستدلالات، الميتايوريستيكس، نظرية التعقيد، ونظرية المخططات.
- خبرة مثبتة في الحوسبة الكمومية: فهم الخوارزميات الكمومية، التحسين القائم على هاميلتونيان، صيغ إيزينغ، الأساليب الأدياباتيكية والتنوعية، آليات الضوضاء، أخطاء تحضير الحالة، إحصائيات القياس، وقيود عتاد وحدات المعالجة الكمومية ذات الذرات المحايدة.
- منهجية: القدرة على ربط المفاهيم النظرية بالتطبيقات العملية على العتاد الكمومي الحالي والمستقبلي.
- عقلية تسليمية: القدرة على الاستكشاف، النمذجة الأولية، القياس، والتكرار على مناهج جديدة، وكتابة تقارير فنية واضحة.
- مهارات برمجية بلغة Python: اتباع ممارسات هندسة برمجية جيدة مثل التحكم في الإصدارات، الاختبار، والتوثيق.
- خبرة قوية في تقييم الخوارزميات والقياس: تصميم التجارب، قابلية التكرار، تحليل الأداء.
- القدرة على التعاون مع فرق الهندسة والبحث والتطوير عبر تخصصات مختلفة.

We are looking for a Mid-Senior Application Engineer in Quantum Optimization with background in Operations Research and/or in Quantum Computing to strengthen our team.
What You’ll Do
With a MSc or PhD in Combinatorial Optimization, Quantum Computing or in a related field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, you have most of the following assets:
What You’ll Do
- Execute quantum optimization-related client projects from early technical discussions and problem framing to project delivery.
- Support the Commercial team on the execution of feasibility studies and on the definition the state of work for future client projects
- Translate real-world problems into optimization formulations and evaluate solution strategies using a mix of analytical reasoning and numerical experimentation.
- Investigate and synthesize the state of the art (academic and industrial literature) to identify relevant directions, assess feasibility, and propose impactful research paths.
- Develop and scale quantum optimization solutions for clients’ use cases on Pasqal quantum processors. Also, improve and extend existing use cases;
- Design and run benchmarking and feasibility studies, including assessing the limitations of classical approaches and identifying realistic pathways toward quantum utility.
- Develop solutions and experiment pipelines in close collaboration with the software engineering team, using emulation backends locally and on HPC when relevant.
- Work hardware-aware: investigate realistic implementations on neutral-atom hardware (mainly using analog paradigms)
- Define blueprints of quantum utility for clients’ use-cases and collaborate closely with R&D hardware teams to bring them to fruition.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Engineering, R&D, academic and industrial partners, and clients) throughout all phases of projects, ensuring alignment on technical scope, success criteria, and deliverables.
- Support team-wide execution and knowledge sharing, including helping on code/components outside your direct ownership when needed and contributing to ongoing scientific watch activities.
With a MSc or PhD in Combinatorial Optimization, Quantum Computing or in a related field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, you have most of the following assets:
- Proven experience in combinatorial optimization: familiar with classical problems, linear programming, constrained programming, heuristics, metaheuristics, complexity theory, graph theory
- Proven experience in quantum computing: understanding of quantum algorithms, Hamiltonian-based optimization, Ising formulations, adiabatic and variational approaches, noise mechanisms, state preparation errors, measurement statistics, and hardware constraints of neutral-atom QPUs;
- Methodological: ability to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications on current and future quantum hardware
- Delivery mindset: ability to explore, prototype, benchmark, and iterate on new approaches. Write clear technical reports
- Programming skills (Python): good software engineering practices such as version control, testing, and documentation
- Solid experience on algorithm evaluation & benchmarking: experiment design, reproducibility, performance analysis
- Able to collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams across different disciplines
- Project ownership : execute projects end-to-end, respecting milestones and and managing risks
- Client-facing skills: relationship skills for interacting with clients and partners
