Instead, we take business plans, pricing grids, and diligence files apart on the bench and put them back together against the evidence of the invoice ledger. Currently, we are applying this methodical approach to support a major infrastructure and technology client, examining their operational models to ensure every assumption is supported by facts.

About Mosaic Conseil
We keep our workshop small on purpose. This ensures that the people who do the work are the same people who answer the phones. We focus on four specific rooms: financial services, industrial networks, healthcare systems, and growing software companies. Our process is personal and deep. Every file we produce carries two names on the cover: one person who builds the model and one person who argues against what was built. This builder and challenger model ensures that no error goes unnoticed. We are a fully remote organization, which allows us to remain independent and focused on the evidence at the floor of the business without the distractions of a traditional office environment.

What you would do
As a Junior Business Analyst, you will be involved in the technical rebuilding of financial and operational models. You will spend your time looking at the raw data of our infrastructure and technology client, identifying patterns, and questioning existing structures. Your daily tasks will include:

• Breaking down complex business models into their basic components to understand how they function.
• Rebuilding spreadsheets and financial artifacts from scratch based on primary evidence.
• Writing clear, detailed arguments to support every change made to a model.
• Acting as the builder on some projects, creating the first draft of a new analysis.
• Acting as the challenger on other projects, finding the logical gaps in a colleague's work.
• Auditing invoice ledgers to verify that pricing and cost assumptions are accurate.
• Maintaining the direct support line for clients to explain the logic behind our final files.

Helpful background
This is an entry level role designed for someone who values intellectual honesty and has a natural inclination toward analytical work. We do not require years of experience, but we do require specific skills and a certain mindset:

• Comfort with numbers and a basic understanding of financial or accounting principles.
• The ability to navigate complex spreadsheets and organize data logically.
• Strong writing skills, specifically the ability to explain technical concepts in plain English.
• A high degree of curiosity about how businesses actually operate and make money.
• The discipline to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• A willingness to have your work critiqued and the ability to defend your logic with evidence.
• Basic familiarity with data analysis tools or a strong desire to learn them.
