About the Role

Arabian Pipes Company is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join the Maintenance Department - ERW Line. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying and maintaining technical drawings and layouts supporting maintenance activities, equipment modifications and improvement projects within the ERW production line.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify and update 2D AutoCAD drawings for mechanical equipment, machinery, piping, structures and maintenance requirements.
• Develop accurate layouts, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and detailed technical drawings based on engineering requirements.
• Assist the Maintenance team in preparing drawings for equipment modification, repair, replacement and installation activities.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, measurements and existing drawings.
• Update as-built drawings following maintenance work, modifications or equipment changes.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of technical drawings.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians to understand drawing requirements.
• Conduct site measurements and convert field measurements into accurate AutoCAD drawings when required.
• Support maintenance and engineering teams during shutdowns, modifications and improvement projects.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, technical specifications and safety requirements.
• Maintain an organized database of drawings and technical documents.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an AutoCAD Technician / Draftsman, preferably in:
• Steel Pipe Manufacturing
• ERW Pipe Manufacturing
• Heavy Engineering / Industrial Manufacturing
• Plant Maintenance
• Fabrication or Mechanical Maintenance
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, piping and structural drawings will be an advantage.
• Ability to take accurate site measurements and prepare drawings accordingly.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Candidates with experience in an ERW line or steel manufacturing environment will be preferred.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Vocational / ITI in Mechanical, Drafting, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Compensation

Monthly Salary: SAR 1,850 - 2,800

Approximate INR Equivalent: ₹47,000 - ₹71,000 per month

INR equivalent is indicative and may vary depending on the prevailing exchange rate.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong practical AutoCAD skills combined with hands-on exposure to industrial maintenance, mechanical equipment and manufacturing environments. Experience in a steel/pipe manufacturing plant, particularly an ERW production line, will be highly advantageous.

Note: Candidates should be willing to work in a manufacturing/plant environment and support maintenance activities as required.
