We are seeking an experienced CNC Designer with strong expertise in SolidWorks to design and develop high-quality stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will convert customer requirements into production-ready manufacturing drawings, optimize designs for fabrication, and generate CNC-ready files while ensuring compliance with food service industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Design commercial kitchen equipment using SolidWorks (Sheet Metal, Weldments, Assemblies, and Drawings).

* Create detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, and material specifications.

* Develop sheet metal flat patterns and optimize designs for laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, and assembly.

* Generate CNC production files (DXF/DWG) for laser cutting and CNC machines.

* Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and fabrication documentation.

* Coordinate with production, project engineers, and sales teams to ensure manufacturability.

* Design custom stainless steel equipment based on customer layouts and project requirements.

* Improve existing products to reduce manufacturing cost and increase production efficiency.

* Verify designs comply with food safety, hygiene, and fabrication standards.

* Support prototype development and resolve production issues.

* Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.

Required Qualifications

* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment.

* Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and CNC manufacturing.

Technical Skills

* Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory).

* Advanced knowledge of:

* Sheet Metal Design

* Weldments

* Assemblies

* Configurations

* Design Tables

* Drawing Creation

* Strong understanding of:

* Laser cutting

* CNC punching

* CNC bending (Press Brake)

* TIG/MIG welding

* Stainless steel fabrication

* Experience generating DXF files for CNC machines.

* Ability to prepare BOMs and manufacturing documentation.

* Good knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.

* Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

Knowledge & Competencies

* Excellent understanding of AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel fabrication.

* Knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and bend allowances.

* Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment construction and ergonomics.

* Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* High attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
