Role Description The Owner at King Fahd Medical Research Center, King Abdul Aziz University, will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Center’s research, operations, and partnerships. This full-time, on-site role in Jeddah involves defining long-term vision and priorities, overseeing research programs, and ensuring alignment with university goals and national health objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding senior staff, reviewing and approving major initiatives and budgets, supporting the development of new research projects, and nurturing collaborations with internal and external stakeholders. The Owner will also promote compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, champion quality and innovation, and represent the Center in high-level meetings, conferences, and community engagements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in medical research, academic institutions, or healthcare organizations, with a strong record of strategic planning and organizational management.
• Advanced academic background in medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, or a related field; a doctoral or professional degree (e.g., PhD, MD) is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to oversee complex research programs, manage budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and institutional standards.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience building partnerships with universities, hospitals, industry, funding agencies, and governmental bodies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in professional English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Capacity to make data-informed decisions, evaluate research outcomes, and support continuous improvement in scientific quality and operational efficiency.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful work environment that supports diverse teams and perspectives.
• Experience mentoring senior researchers, administrators, or academic leaders and supporting career development within research organizations.
