Application & Systems Development Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application & Systems Development Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise applications and digital platforms while ensuring high performance, scalability, security, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications and digital platforms.
• Develop backend services using .NET Core and C# following software engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain modern frontend applications using Angular or equivalent frameworks.
• Design, develop, and manage APIs and system integrations with internal and external platforms.
• Implement and maintain content management solutions and dynamic content platforms.
• Participate in database design, optimization, performance tuning, and high-availability solutions.
• Support integrations with government platforms, digital services, and third-party systems.
• Manage source code repositories, version control, code reviews, and release management processes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in application and systems development.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core and C#.
• Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks.
• Experience in API development and systems integration.
• Experience with relational databases and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git and source code management practices.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ABP Framework.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as Squidex or similar solutions.
• Experience integrating with government platforms and digital services.
• Experience in enterprise-scale digital transformation projects.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience in Saudi government or semi-government digital projects.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 Months
