Electromechanical technician

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing and overseeing the installation of all Automatic car wash equipment and machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing operations, as well as servicing existing car wash equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform & supervise all tasks for car wash installation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
• Lays and welds steel track and other steel parts, as needed.
• Connects all peripheral equipment, as well as electrical wiring and cables.
• Diagnoses and repairs electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Provides initial customer training on car wash operation.
• Diagnose and repair low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including 3-phase power and control wiring
• Complete scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs across multiple locations

Qualifications

Knowledge of:

-       3-phase electrical systems

-       Motors, relays, contactors, and control wiring

-       Hydraulics and pneumatics

-       Pumps, valves, plumbing, and mechanical assemblies

-       VFD and PLC troubleshooting experience preferred

-       Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

-       Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, education, and/or training in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, and pneumatics.
• Forklift experience.
• Works with building contractors, electricians, and plumbers at installation sites.
