Finance Systems Lead (ERP Transformation)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Systems Lead to join a high-growth, regulated fintech business undertaking a business-critical ERP transformation. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, with close partnership across Technology, this is a rare opportunity to become the client-side owner of an enterprise-wide finance systems implementation that will underpin the organisation's next phase of growth. This is not a traditional ERP Project Manager role.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the ERP accurately reflects the financial reality of the business owning financial architecture, reconciliations, controls, governance and audit readiness while managing the relationship with the external Systems Integrator.

If you enjoy sitting between Finance and Technology, translating accounting requirements into system capability and ensuring successful delivery, this role offers genuine ownership and visibility.

Responsibilities:

You will become the internal lead responsible for delivering a modern finance platform capable of supporting a highly regulated financial services environment. Working alongside Finance, Product and Engineering teams, you will-

• Lead the client-side delivery of a major ERP implementation
• Own the relationship with the external Systems Integrator
• Design financial architecture including chart of accounts, sub-ledgers and reconciliation frameworks
• Ensure seamless integration between ERP, operational platforms and banking/payment systems
• Replace manual Excel-based financial processes with scalable, controlled ERP solutions
• Build finance controls, governance and audit evidence directly into system design
• Support implementation of IFRS-driven accounting and reporting requirements
• Drive successful testing, cutover and transition into business-as-usual operations
• Create long-term internal capability rather than dependency on external consultants

Requirements:

• 7-10 years' experience within finance systems, ERP transformation or finance advisory
• Experience working on at least one end-to-end ERP implementation
• Strong understanding of finance processes and financial controls
• Working knowledge of IFRS, particularly financial instruments and revenue recognition
• Experience working with finance, technology and external implementation partners
• Ability to translate finance requirements into practical system solutions
• Strong stakeholder management across executive, finance and technical teams

The ideal candidate will combine finance knowledge with ERP implementation experience, come from a Big 4 Technology Consulting environment, Finance Transformation or ERP Advisory. Or have experience as an ERP Functional Consultant with a strong accounting background.
