SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - Cultural Project - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Fixed-term contract through 2028 · Based in Riyadh

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major cultural project in Riyadh, operating within a complex and demanding cultural environment. This role is focused on the later-stage fit-out and delivery phases of the project, requiring a hands-on leader capable of steering multidisciplinary teams through to successful completion.

This is a fixed-term position running through 2028, based on-site in Riyadh, offering the opportunity to lead a flagship cultural project from its critical execution phase to handover.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project leadership and overall coordination

• Lead and coordinate all assigned workstreams across the project, ensuring alignment between creative intent, technical execution and delivery timelines
• Prepare and deliver, for each phase of the project from concept through to detailed design, cross-functional presentations consolidating content, design and production inputs, providing a coherent overview of progress across these workstreams
• Act as the primary point of coordination between the client, design teams, contractors and suppliers throughout the fit-out and delivery phases
• Track progress, manage risk, and proactively resolve issues affecting scope, quality, cost or schedule

Technical advisory - exhibition fit-out

• Provide technical advice and guidance on exhibition fit-out matters, ensuring solutions are both design-faithful and technically sound
• Review fit-out documentation, methods and installation sequencing in collaboration with architecture, engineering and fabrication teams
• Anticipate and resolve technical constraints arising during the later stages of execution and installation

Multidisciplinary team management

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams spanning architecture, engineering, design and production
• Foster clear communication and collaborative working across all stakeholders operating in a culturally complex environment

PROFILE

• Background in architecture and/or engineering, with demonstrated experience applying this technical foundation to complex project delivery
• Proven experience in the museum or museology sector, with a solid understanding of exhibition design, fit-out and cultural institution requirements
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading projects through later-stage fit-out and delivery phases
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across design, technical and production functions
• Experience operating within complex cultural, institutional or museum environments
• Comfortable working in an international, cross-cultural context, including within Saudi Arabia
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, cross-functional progress presentations for senior stakeholders
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
