Al-Hayat International School (HIS), Lebanon, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Years 1 (aka KG1) English Homeroom Teacher to join our IB PYP learning community.

EY1/KG1 students are learners who are 3+ years old.

The successful candidate will create a nurturing, inquiry-based learning environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development while fostering curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), and Reggio-inspired environment.
• Create an inclusive, child-centered classroom environment that promotes inquiry and play-based learning.
• Support the development of early literacy and communication skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of assessment strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues in planning units of inquiry and cross-curricular learning experiences.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education.
• Teaching Diploma required.
• 2-5 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset.
• Experience with or knowledge of the IB PYP is preferred.
