Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fire Protection Engineer role located in Eastern Province. The Fire Protection Engineer will design, review, and optimize fire protection and life safety systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with local codes, international standards, and client requirements. Daily tasks include conducting risk assessments, performing fire safety calculations, preparing technical reports, drawings, and specifications, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role involves reviewing and approving fire suppression system layouts, evacuation plans, and safety engineering measures, as well as participating in site inspections, commissioning activities, and technical audits. The Fire Protection Engineer will also support clients by providing technical guidance, participating in meetings with authorities, and contributing to continuous improvement of fire safety practices within AEC.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Engineering, including system design, analysis, and integration.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Fire Safety and Life Safety, focusing on occupant protection, building code compliance, and emergency egress planning.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Fire Suppression Systems, including sprinkler systems, gaseous suppression, fire alarms, and related control systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced certification in fire safety is an advantage.
• Experience with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local civil defense regulations) and the ability to interpret and apply them to design and review work.
• Proficiency in engineering design and modeling tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or fire modeling software), and strong technical report writing skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients and regulatory authorities.
• Prior experience in industrial or large-scale commercial projects in the Gulf region is preferred; fluency in English is required, and Arabic language skills are an asset.
