Role Description This is a remote, part-time role for a Mathematics Tutor at Al-Khair Academy (Fromyourtutor.com). The tutor will deliver engaging online math lessons, primarily focused on school-level mathematics and algebra, to individual learners or small groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, explaining concepts clearly, guiding learners through problem-solving, assigning and reviewing practice work, and providing constructive feedback on progress. The tutor will adapt teaching methods to different ages and abilities, use online tools and platforms for live sessions, and maintain regular communication with learners and, when appropriate, caregivers. The role also involves tracking learner performance and collaborating with the academy to ensure a high standard of educational support.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Algebra, with the ability to explain concepts at different levels of difficulty.
• Experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring, including delivering live lessons through digital platforms.
• Effective Communication skills, with clear, patient, and encouraging interaction tailored to diverse learners.
• Previous experience teaching or supporting learners of various ages is beneficial.
• Familiarity with school curricula, exam requirements, and common assessment formats is an advantage.
• Ability to plan structured lessons, manage time effectively, and work independently in a remote setting.
• Reliable internet connection, comfort with online teaching tools, and basic technical troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant educational background in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred.
