As a Senior Planning Engineer, my primary responsibility is to control the project schedule from planning through completion. I develop and maintain the baseline programme in Primavera P6, monitor actual progress against the approved baseline, analyze critical and near-critical paths, identify delays and their root causes, and forecast the impact on project milestones and completion.

I also coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams, prepare look-ahead and recovery programmes, monitor resources and productivity, and prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports and dashboards. Where delays occur, I analyze the cause and support recovery plans, EOT and delay analysis.

My role is not only to report that the project is behind schedule, but to explain why it is behind, what the impact will be, and what actions are required to recover the schedule."
