Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Planning Engineer / Planning Team Lead to lead and oversee the project planning and scheduling activities throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering and pre-construction to execution and closeout. Responsible for developing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, analyzing delays, and providing management with accurate scheduling information and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project schedules (Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), define project activities, Durations, logic sequence, and milestones).
• Develop manpower, equipment, and material loading plans.
• Coordinate with cost control teams for integrated planning.
• Prepare integrated engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
• Prepare baseline schedules for management, consultant and client approval.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and update schedules regularly (weekly/monthly).
• Measure productivity and performance trends.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, generate S-curves, histograms, and earned value reports.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and budget monitoring.
• Monitor critical paths, identify schedule risks, analyze delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Report schedule variances and recovery plans.
• Conduct delay analysis using recognized methodologies.
• Prepare extension of time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation.
• Lead and mentor planning engineers and schedulers.
• Review and approve planning deliverables.
• Coordinate planning activities across multiple projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Civil, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• +7-12 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
• Strong experience in Construction, EPC, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or other large-scale projects.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, project controls, and performance management.
• Good understanding of project execution methodologies and the complete project lifecycle.
• Previous experience in coordinating or leading a planning team is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and project reporting tools.
• Experience with Power BI or other project dashboards is an advantage.
• PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or other relevant certification is an advantage.
