Role Summary:

The Specialist, Accounts Payable is responsible for performing accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and payments using a 3-way matching system and managing petty cash expense accounts and reports. The accountant will process, track, and accurately record sale transactions in an efficient and timely manner. This role involves managing and maintaining all aspects of the company’s accounts payable cycle. The primary duties include invoicing vendors, processing payments, and ensuring accurate and timely payment endorsements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Manage all accounts payable transactions, including receiving invoices and reconciling with vendors.
2. Maintain accounts payable records to ensure that aging reports are up to date, credits and payment endorsements are applied, unclaimed amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous discrepancies are resolved.
3. Prepare analytical and ratio analyses related to accounts payable to help management better understand the progress of the payable effort.
4. Maintain files and documentation meticulously and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
5. Create, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
6. Support the preparation of required reports.
7. Conduct analysis in a timely manner.
8. Address any ad hoc matters as directed by superiors.
9. Manage and initiate accounts closure procedures in coordination with other sections in order to ensure timely account finalization.
10. Follow and implement procedures to eliminate errors and ensure accurate postings to the correct General Ledger accounts.

Qualification and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or any related field.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar positions.

Skills:

• Advanced experience with software applications and applicable systems skills.
• Strong ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates high professional integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, commitment, and motivation.
• Strong focus on accuracy and effective time management.

Effective English communication skills.

Professional Certifications:

• SOCPA Certificate - Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants is required
