KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cost Estimation Engineer is responsible to prepare realistic and reliable project budget for construction and operation costs in the early design stages and feasibility studies.
- Provide detailed cost estimating and justified cost analysis for all items along with each design phase.
- Evaluate design criteria and materials selections against the budget, providing necessary recommendations. Conduct technical and financial evaluations of bidders during the tendering phase.
- Responsible to collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements, manage cost control and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare a comprehensive database for the cost plan, estimation benchmarks, vendors log, and basis of pricing.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant construction, safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operations to ensure safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high-quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
- Develop accurate budgeting and financial planning during project initiation and execution phases.
- Perform detailed cost analyses and document resource allocation, to manage expenses efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of critical projects while meeting operational and financial goals.
- Communicate timely with reporting manager or Airport Maintenance Manager on matters affecting airport maintenance activities and requiring attention or intervention.
- Performs other operational or management duties as directed by the reporting manager or higher management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering.
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering cost estimation, project controls, quantity surveying, or construction cost management, preferably in airport or infrastructure projects
License and Certificates:
AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP), PMP, or equivalent cost engineering and project management certifications are preferred. Experience with estimating software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage
