Our client a major Oil & Gas company in Saudi Arabia is looking to hire a Sustainability Engineer to be part of their Manufacturing unit.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Non-conformance Evaluation and Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose and resolve manufacturing and customer-reported issues, performing investigations into component failures or product performance problems.
- Engineering Change Management: Process engineering change orders (ECOs) and modify designs, CAD models, and assembly procedures for improvements or fixes.
- Component Obsolescence & Supply Chain Support: Identify and qualify replacements for parts that are no longer available to ensure production continuity.
- Process Improvement & Cost Reduction: Actively identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce product costs through design optimization.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain and update product documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in product design, sustaining, or similar roles. Hands-on experience with Design Engineering & engineering drawings mandatory.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform root-cause investigation.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CreoSE), PLM systems, and Engineering Calculations
- Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, and internal teams.
