Job Description:

The Executive Director - Giga Projects Delivery will spearhead the strategic oversight and execution of monumental infrastructure initiatives, defined as projects with a value exceeding $1 billion and a significant impact on community infrastructure and economy. This role is critical in driving the vision, governance, and operational efficiencies necessary to deliver these high-stakes, complex projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a robust background in project management, engineering, and cross-functional leadership, and will be responsible for establishing partnerships with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and championing innovative approaches to project delivery. Possessing exceptional communication and negotiation skills, the Executive Director will also lead a team of project managers and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, while ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and long-term vision.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project delivery, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience in strategic leadership roles, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully managing multiple billion-dollar projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive project management frameworks tailored for giga projects.
• Proven knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance, and risk management protocols relevant to large infrastructure projects.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management, resource allocation, and cost control in a project delivery environment.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a history of building and maintaining relationships with governmental bodies, contractors, and community leaders.
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities with experience in implementing innovative project delivery methodologies and technologies.
• Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across various functions and disciplines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the entire lifecycle of giga projects, from conception and feasibility analysis to execution and completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain rigorous governance structures and project management methodologies to ensure optimal project outcomes.
• Lead the coordination of cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among stakeholders, project teams, and external partners.
• Establish, monitor, and report on key project performance indicators and metrics, driving continuous improvement and addressing any emerging challenges proactively.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and community stakeholders to facilitate compliance, manage public relations, and address concerns related to project impacts.
• Spearhead the innovation of project delivery approaches, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Represent the organization at high-profile meetings, conferences, and public engagements, enhancing its reputation as a leader in giga project delivery.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team, shaping the organization’s long-term project delivery roadmap.
