Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Healthcare Technology Platform

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology strategy, engineering function, and technical growth of a digital healthcare platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the overall technology vision and roadmap, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant with relevant healthcare and data privacy regulations.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring a strong combination of hands-on technology expertise, engineering leadership, product innovation, business acumen, and stakeholder management. The CTO will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams and will also represent the organization in technical discussions with potential investors and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall technology vision, strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the healthcare platform.
• Align technology initiatives with business objectives, market needs, product strategy, and organizational growth plans.
• Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering and technology team.
• Oversee the design, development, scalability, reliability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Drive the development and scaling of mobile applications and digital platforms.
• Establish and maintain robust software architecture, engineering standards, development processes, and technology governance.
• Ensure the platform complies with relevant healthcare regulations, data privacy requirements, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices.
• Identify and mitigate technology, security, scalability, and operational risks.
• Drive innovation and oversee the development and delivery of new product features and technology solutions.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Design, Security, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, and other business functions.
• Lead product release cycles and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality technology solutions.
• Manage technology budgets, resources, vendors, and technology investments effectively.
• Work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to support business strategy and organizational growth.
• Represent the organization in technical discussions with strategic partners and potential investors.
• Contribute to technical due diligence, investor presentations, fundraising discussions, and technology-related business initiatives.
• Establish policies, processes, controls, and performance metrics to support efficient and scalable technology operations.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, talent development, and engineering excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in software development and technology.
• At least 5+ years of experience in a senior technology leadership position, such as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology, Engineering Director, or equivalent.
• Proven experience building, launching, scaling, and maintaining digital platforms and mobile applications.
• Strong experience leading software engineering and technology teams.
• Demonstrated experience designing scalable, secure, and high-performing technology platforms.
• Experience with cloud architecture, modern software development practices, APIs, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, privacy, and technology risk management.
• Previous experience within Healthcare Technology, HealthTech, Digital Health, Health Information Systems, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Experience working with executive leadership and translating business objectives into technology strategy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, executives, partners, and investors.
• Experience supporting fundraising, investor due diligence, or technology discussions with investors would be an advantage.
