Role Description The Welding QCI with CBT role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jubail, responsible for inspecting and verifying welding quality across civil and structural construction projects. The role involves monitoring welding activities, reviewing welder qualifications, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting visual and dimensional inspections, verifying welding procedures, documenting inspection results, and issuing reports and non-conformance notices as needed. The Welding QCI collaborates closely with site engineers, supervisors, and welders to resolve quality issues, support corrective actions, and maintain continuous improvement in welding practices. The role also requires maintaining inspection records, participating in audits, and ensuring compliance with company and client QA/QC procedures.
Qualifications

• Strong practical experience in Welding and Arc Welding, with proven ability to assess weld quality in civil and structural applications.
• Proficiency in TIG Welding and MIG Welding processes, including inspection of joints, weld beads, and defect identification.
• Sound understanding of Materials used in construction welding (metals, alloys, consumables) and their behavior under different welding conditions.
• Certification or formal training as a Welding Inspector or QCI; CBT and relevant welding/inspection certifications are highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of applicable welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent), QA/QC procedures, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret welding procedures, drawings, and technical specifications, and prepare clear inspection reports.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work on-site in a construction environment in Jubail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams; experience in civil construction projects is an advantage.
