Job Title

3D Product & Manufacturing Designer

Job Purpose

We are looking for a creative and technically skilled 3D Product & Manufacturing Designer to design, develop, and prepare products for actual manufacturing.

The role covers the complete product development process - from concept and 3D visualization to technical drawings, prototyping, production files, and coordination with the manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

* Create accurate 3D product models and realistic visualizations.

* Transform ideas, sketches, references, and client requirements into manufacturable 3D designs.

* Develop products considering functionality, aesthetics, cost, materials, and manufacturing feasibility.

* Prepare detailed technical drawings including dimensions, thicknesses, materials, assembly details, and production specifications.

* Prepare production-ready files for CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing, engraving, and other manufacturing processes.

* Design and develop products such as leather goods, rigid boxes, coffee stands, wooden products, corporate gifts, packaging, displays, and customized products.

* Recommend suitable materials, construction methods, and assembly solutions.

* Work closely with production teams including carpentry, leather, laser cutting, printing, and finishing departments.

* Follow up on prototypes and samples, identify issues, and make necessary design modifications before mass production.

* Solve technical and manufacturing challenges during product development.

* Optimize designs to reduce material waste, production time, and manufacturing costs.

* Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) when required.

* Maintain organized design files, technical drawings, dimensions, and product versions.

* Ensure finished products match approved designs and technical specifications.

* Continuously develop new products and improve existing products.

* Produce professional 3D renders and product presentations for client proposals, catalogs, and internal approvals when required.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

* Previous experience in product design and development.

* Manufacturing or workshop experience is highly preferred.

* Good understanding of materials, dimensions, tolerances, thicknesses, assembly methods, and manufacturing processes.

* Ability to turn a visual concept into a practical and manufacturable product.

Preferred Software Skills

Experience with one or more of the following:

SolidWorks - Fusion 360 - Autodesk Inventor - 3ds Max - Blender - AutoCAD - Rhino - KeyShot

Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for preparing printing, engraving, and cutting files is an advantage.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must provide a portfolio. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate products they have designed and that were actually manufactured, rather than 3D renders only.
