Job description:

Job Purpose

To ensure the reliability, availability, and safe operation of mechanical production equipment through effective preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement, while minimizing downtime and optimizing maintenance costs.
 

Key Accountability Areas

Maintenance Execution & Technical Support:

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment breakdowns.
• Provide technical support during critical breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for technical support, repairs, and spare parts.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, inspections, and checklists.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures.
• Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records.

Spare Parts & Technical Support:

• Identify critical spare parts to ensure equipment availability.
• Evaluate spare parts and coordinate with suppliers for procurement.
• Support alternative supplier identification to improve availability and reduce costs.

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:

• Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems, rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, and conveyors.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend effective corrective actions.
• Support equipment modifications and reliability improvements.

Maintenance Coordination & Reliability:

• Coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimize downtime.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality and production needs.
• Coordinate specialized maintenance activities with contractors and service providers.

Safety & Quality:

• Perform maintenance activities in accordance with safety procedures and LOTO requirements.
• Ensure maintenance work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

• Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

• Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

• Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
