About the Role

Coordinate and support logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of goods and materials. Monitor logistics activities, maintain accurate documentation, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with organisational policies and applicable regulations to support the University's operational requirements.

Responsibilities

Logistics Operations Coordination

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely movement of goods and materials.
• Schedule shipments and deliveries in accordance with operational requirements.
• Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure logistics operations are executed efficiently and in compliance with organizational procedures.

Transportation & Shipment Management

• Monitor shipment schedules and transportation activities. Track deliveries and communicate shipment status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and transportation providers to resolve delivery issues.
• Ensure transportation activities comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

• Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials with warehouse personnel.
• Support inventory reconciliation and stock verification activities.
• Ensure materials are properly received and issued according to established procedures.

Documentation & Customs Support

• Prepare shipping documents, delivery notes, and logistics records.
• Support customs clearance activities by coordinating required documentation.
• Maintain accurate logistics documentation and filing systems.
• Ensure all logistics documentation complies with applicable regulations and organisational requirements.

Supplier Coordination

• Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Follow up on delivery schedules and shipment commitments.
• Resolve logistics-related issues through effective communication with the suppliers.
• Support supplier performance monitoring related to logistics services.

Logistics Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Prepare periodic logistics reports and shipment status updates.
• Monitor logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Analyse logistics performance and identify operational issues.
• Provide accurate logistics information to management for decision-making.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure logistics activities comply with organizational policies and transportation regulations.
• Monitor adherence to safety and operational procedures.
• Identify logistics risks and report issues to management.
• Support audits by maintaining complete logistics records and documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency.
• Support digital transformation and automation initiatives within logistics operations.
• Recommend improvements to logistics procedures and reporting methods.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging logistics technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration or any related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience
