Role Description The فني بصريات طبية (Optical Technician) is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah. The role includes performing basic optometry-related assessments, supporting ophthalmologists and optometrists with patient examinations, and accurately documenting clinical findings as a scribe. Daily tasks involve assisting with fundus photography and other diagnostic procedures, preparing and maintaining optical equipment, and ensuring all instruments are clean and functioning properly. The Optical Technician will also help guide customers in lens selection, coordinate with the medical and retail teams, and uphold high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills and knowledge in Optometry and Ophthalmology, including basic eye examinations and understanding of common eye conditions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Fundus Photography and related diagnostic imaging techniques used in eye care.
• Candidates should possess skills in medical Scribe work, including accurate documentation of patient history, examination findings, and treatment plans.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine relevant to eye health, clinical protocols, and infection control.
• Diploma or degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, or a related medical field is preferred.
• Previous experience in an optical clinic, eye center, or ophthalmology practice is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work with precision optical instruments.
• Effective communication skills in Arabic; proficiency in English is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, provide respectful patient service, and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
