Role Description The Accountant role at Gulf International Logistics is a full-time, on-site position based in Al Khobar. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting, monitoring cash flows, and supporting monthly and annual closing processes. The role also covers preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and providing financial reports to management for decision-making. The position requires close attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and proactive support for continuous improvement of financial processes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and SAP, as well as solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other office tools.
• Ability to analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or similar industries is preferred.
