Role Description This is a full-time, on-site DG Technician role based in Tabūk. The DG Technician will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation, and preventive maintenance of diesel generator (DG) sets and associated electrical equipment. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring systems operate within safety and performance standards. The role involves monitoring generator performance, recording test results, updating maintenance logs, and supporting planned shutdowns and emergency call-outs. The DG Technician will collaborate with engineers and other technicians, follow standard operating procedures, and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, including installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in electrical systems related to power generation, such as control panels, wiring, and protection systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for both mechanical and electrical issues on DG sets.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules, reporting tools, and documentation best practices.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to HSE procedures and safe work practices in industrial environments.
• Relevant technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Previous experience in power, telecom, oil and gas, or industrial energy projects is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under time constraints and in field conditions.
• Willingness to work shifts, travel to project sites when required, and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
