Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Coach to join our coaching team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality BJJ training sessions, helping members improve their technical skills and physical performance, and creating a positive, safe, and motivating training environment.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Deliver engaging and structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for members of different skill levels.

•⁠ ⁠Teach and demonstrate BJJ techniques, drills, positions, submissions, and transitions.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure proper coaching, technique, and safety throughout all training sessions.

•⁠ ⁠Adapt training sessions according to members’ fitness levels and technical abilities.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor members’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain a professional, energetic, and welcoming coaching environment.

•⁠ ⁠Support members in achieving their fitness and martial arts goals.

•⁠ ⁠Assist with the development of training programs and class plans.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure all equipment and training areas are used safely and maintained properly.

•⁠ ⁠Follow Arena’s coaching standards, policies, and operational procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Participate in events, workshops, competitions, and other activities when required.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with members and the wider team.

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach or Instructor.

•⁠ ⁠Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

•⁠ ⁠BJJ certification or recognized rank is preferred.

•⁠ ⁠Previous experience coaching group classes is highly preferred.

•⁠ ⁠Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to work with members of different ages and skill levels.

•⁠ ⁠Passionate, energetic, and professional approach to coaching.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and split shifts when required.

•⁠ ⁠English proficiency is preferred.
