Clinical Solution Specialist - Patient Monitoring

Location: Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - office-based

Scope: Regional - Middle East & Africa territory

Travel: Approximately 50%, including overnight and multi-day trips

Experience: 3-5 years in critical care nursing or clinical application of patient monitoring

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Product Specialist - Patient Monitoring Systems, you are the clinical voice of our monitoring portfolio in the region. You will be the person clinicians trust when they want to know how a solution will actually work on their unit, the person our distributors call before a critical demonstration, and the person who turns a new installation into a confident, well-trained clinical team.

It is a genuinely hybrid role: part clinical educator, part product owner, part commercial partner. You will train and support end-users, and shape how the portfolio is positioned in the market.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Deliver clinical and application training to nurses, physicians, biomedical engineers, distributor teams and our own sales colleagues - from first demonstration through to post-installation optimization.
• Lead the clinical side of installations and go-lives: assess workflows, define configuration requirements, train the clinical team and support first patient use.
• Run product workshops, proof-of-concept evaluations and clinical demonstrations across the territory.
• Build certified product champions inside every distributor account through structured e-learning and hands-on training.
• Track the market - competitors, pricing, tenders, clinical practice - and turn what you learn into strategy and action plans with the Sales team.
• Own regional product launches: positioning, launch materials, selling tools, campaigns and team readiness.
• Support the sales funnel with clinical presentations, technical and tender input, and value-based solution design for key accounts.
• Create digital content for our patient monitoring solutions and represent Nihon Kohden at congresses such as Arab Health, Africa Health and MEDICA.
• Work closely with our teams in Japan on market trends, product feedback and global strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or a clinical, biomedical or life sciences degree with real hands-on patient monitoring experience.
• 3-5 years in a critical care setting - ICU, CCU, CVICU, ER, OR, NICU or PICU - using multi-parameter monitoring every day; or equivalent experience as a clinical application or product specialist with a monitoring manufacturer or distributor.
• Solid working knowledge of haemodynamics and ECG rhythm interpretation, and the confidence to discuss both with intensivists and nursing leadership.
• A natural ability to teach - you can hold a room of clinicians and make complex technology feel straightforward.
• Fluent English, excellent presentation skills, and comfort with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Readiness to travel around 50% of the time, and the organization and self-motivation that a travelling role demands.
• A valid driving licence and a passport that allows unrestricted regional travel.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

• Active nursing registration - SCFHS classification is a distinct advantage.
• Arabic in addition to English is an advantage.
• Previous experience in clinical education, adult training or an application specialist role in the medical device industry.
• Familiarity with central monitoring, clinical informatics, HL7 or EMR integration.
• Understanding of GCC tender processes and hospital capital purchasing.
• A transferable Iqama, if you are already in the Kingdom.
