Position Overview

We are seeking an elite, world-class Head of Global Creative Delivery & Technical Operations. This is a heavyweight leadership position designed for an individual who commands the rare intersection of creative excellence and cutting-edge engineering mastery.

Entering at the inception phase of our highest-profile properties, you will be the absolute authority responsible for turning breathtaking artistic concepts into safe, viable, and awe-inspiring technical realities. You have a proven pedigree of delivering "super-size" visual spectacles (such as Olympic Opening/Closing Ceremonies, World Cup spectacles, or massive city-scale drone and kinetic drone arrays). You will set "The Sela Standard" for creative technology, managing elite global vendors, and commanding the technical production fields where failure is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creative Technical Architecture & Engineering Governance

• Translate Creative Vision: Act as the primary strategic translator between world-renowned Creative Directors and heavy-civil/structural engineering teams, ensuring artistic concepts are structurally viable and flawlessly executed.
• Establish Technical Standards: Author and enforce the global engineering, lighting, audio, visual (LAV), and kinetic standards across all Sela mega-events.
• Super-Size Visual Infrastructure: Oversee the structural staging, massive projection mapping, automated kinetic architecture, pyrotechnics, and complex drone integration across massive event footprints.

2. Elite Global Vendor & Procurement Command

• Curate World-Class Talent: Source, vet, and manage the elite tier-1 international technical production agencies, specialized fabrication houses, and creative technology vendors.
• Rigorous Technical QA/QC: Enforce strict Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols on all custom fabrications, advanced AV tech, and machinery before they arrive on site.
• Contractual Engineering Governance: Review and govern complex technical specifications, rider requirements, and service-level agreements (SLAs) for global scale suppliers.

3. Cross-Functional Integration & Safety Readiness

• Silo-Breaking Synchronisation: Lead integration between the creative design teams, overlay (temporary infrastructure), site logistics, power distribution, and health and safety (HSE) teams.
• Stress-Testing & Rehearsal Command: Architect and direct rigorous technical rehearsal schedules, programming stress-tests, and "blackout" failure simulations to ensure absolute system redundancy.
• HSE & Structural Compliance: Ensure all creative installations meet or exceed stringent international structural, wind-load, and electrical safety regulations for mega-scale public gatherings.

4. Live Show Technical Governance

• Show-Day Technical Director: Serve as the ultimate technical authority during live execution and broadcast windows, commanding the technical production crews and ensuring real-time problem-solving under extreme pressure.
• Incident Management Integration: Link directly with Sela's Main Operations Centre (MOC) to manage high-stakes, real-time creative or technical adjustments during live show programming.

Candidate Profile & Experience Requirements

• Super-Size Event Pedigree: A minimum of 12-15+ years directing the technical production or creative delivery for elite, global-scale spectacles. Must have a proven track record leading technical delivery for at least one Olympic Games (Opening/Closing Ceremonies), FIFA World Cup ceremony, World Expo, or equivalent multi-million dollar state program.
• Technical Mastery: Deep, demonstrable expertise across modern creative technology fields: heavy-duty automated staging, advanced media servers, mega-lumens projection mapping, complex rigging, synchronized drone fleets, and massive pyrotechnic/laser governance.
• Creative Sensitivity: A strong aesthetic eye with the ability to respect, protect, and enhance an artistic vision without compromising on safety or structural limits.
• Diplomatic & Executive Authority: Proven history of commanding respect among world-class artists, corporate stakeholders, technical engineers, and high-ranking ministry officials.
• Geographical Adaptability: Experience navigating the rapid growth of the Middle East/GCC market and a clear alignment with the vision and speed of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Production, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Creative Technology, or a highly related technical discipline.
• Extensive certifications in structural rigging, high-voltage systems, or specialized show-control software are expected.
• A spectacular personal portfolio showcasing the technical execution of world-renowned, televised mega-events.
