The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety programs on active work sites.
Main Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of the Safety, Health, Security & Environment (HSSE) protection activities and Fire Protection Systems.
- Implementation of company safety policy and safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections at process units and identity the potential hazards involved.
- Enforcement of work permits systems.
- Safety training to employees, training need identification and develop training course.
- Accident investigation and root cause analysis, maintaining database for accident analysis, suggest management for improvements and follow up.
- Planning and implementation of permit to work systems and its document control.
- Ensure occupational health and safety legal compliance.
- Organize in-house safety audits and HSE meetings.
- Carry out contract specific HSE risk assessments.
- Ensure adherence of the highest practical HSE standards.
- Prepare schedule and conduct emergency mock drills.
- Plant inspection, inspection of rigging, slinging, lifting tools and cranes.
- Conducting daily site safety walks to identify & correct the unsafe conditions/Acts.
- Discussing Safe work methods with supervisors & work force.
- Implementation & monitoring of project & process safety procedures at site.
- Attending of major shutdowns & maintenance jobs.
- Conduct Health Safety audits, Surveys & Inspections.
- Monitor & evaluate job safety Analysis.
- Root causes Analysis / Accident investigation.
- Coordinate the joint efforts of management and workforce and direct it towards safe operation.
- Keep in touch with new development in the field of accident prevention, personal protective equipment and procedures.
- Transport Safety procedures.
- Preparation of Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Annually Health & Safety reports.
- Preparation of Risk Assessments.
- Periodical inspection of Lifting Equipment & Gears.
- Inspection of scaffolding.
- Periodical Inspection & Testing of all safety equipment’s and devices.
- Inspection of Life saving equipment.
- Safety Induction trainings to new employees.
- Initiating and implementing safe lifting program.
- Initiating and implementing electrical inspection program (LOTO).
- Initiating and monitoring the emergency drills.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
- Diploma of Fire Protection & Safety Engineering Technology.
- Minimum of 2-6 years in HSE Field.
- Proficiency in English
