Role Description The Dry Lab Technician role at Arab Paper Manufacturing Co (WARAQ) is a full-time, on-site position based in Dammam. The technician is responsible for conducting routine testing and analysis of paper samples in a dry laboratory environment, including measurements of strength, moisture, and other physical properties to ensure products meet established quality specifications. Daily activities include preparing and labeling samples, operating and calibrating laboratory instruments, recording and organizing test results, and reporting any deviations to supervisors and quality control personnel. The role involves following safety and environmental procedures, maintaining clean and orderly lab workstations, and collaborating with production teams to support process improvements and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, testing, and accurate data recording.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments used for measuring physical properties of paper or similar materials.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow written procedures and quality standards.
- Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental guidelines in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Relevant technical diploma or certificate in laboratory technology, industrial technology, or a related field; prior experience in manufacturing or quality control is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team, communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors, and adapt to shift-based or production-driven schedules.
- Proficient in basic computer use for entering test results and generating simple reports.
