Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant AC Technician role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Assistant AC Technician will support senior technicians with installation, inspection, servicing, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Daily tasks include assisting with troubleshooting system issues, monitoring equipment performance, cleaning and replacing filters and components, and performing basic electrical and plumbing-related tasks associated with HVAC work. The role involves helping with preventive maintenance schedules, documenting work performed, and ensuring tools, materials, and work areas are kept organized and safe. The Assistant AC Technician will follow company safety standards, adhere to technical guidelines, and collaborate with team members to complete assigned jobs efficiently and on time.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing AC performance issues and supporting effective repairs.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and its connection to HVAC systems (e.g., condensate drainage, piping, and water lines).
- Experience or training in preventive maintenance for AC units, including inspection, cleaning, and scheduled servicing.
- Foundational understanding of electricity as it relates to HVAC systems, including safe handling of wiring, breakers, and controls.
- Awareness of relevant environmental and safety practices; EPA-related knowledge or certification is an advantage.
- High school diploma or vocational/technical certificate in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, work orders, and safety procedures.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in varied environments (indoors/outdoors, heights, confined spaces, and different temperatures).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills, with a willingness to learn from senior technicians.
