Job Summary:
The Manager – Powerplant (APU) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of the airline's APU fleet. Their goal is to ensure APUs operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the APU maintenance program for the airline fleet.
- Plan maintenance schedules and repair work scopes.
- Oversee APU shop visits (when APUs are sent for overhaul or major repairs).
- Coordinate with MROs, repair shops, OEMs, and vendors.
- Monitor APU performance, reliability, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations such as FAA, EASA, or local aviation authority requirements.
- Analyze technical reports and recommend improvements.
- Control budgets related to APU maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:

- Airlines (technical services, engineering, powerplant departments)
- MRO Companies (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) specializing in aircraft engine/APU maintenance
Candidate Must have
- 8–15+ years of aviation maintenance experience.
- Powerplant/APU engineering background.
- Experience in airline technical services or MRO operations.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, reliability programs, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing APU overhauls, repairs, and maintenance contracts.
