Senior Smart City Engineer (3+ Years Experience)

Position: Senior Smart City Engineer

Location: Pune / Client Location

Experience: 3+ Years

Salary: ₹10,000 - ₹15,000 per month (or as per company budget)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Smart City Engineer to support the planning, implementation, and management of smart city initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience in smart infrastructure, GIS, IoT, urban technologies, data integration, and digital transformation projects aimed at improving city operations and citizen services. The role involves coordinating with government authorities, consultants, technology vendors, and project stakeholders. Smart city projects typically involve IoT, GIS, intelligent transportation systems, utilities monitoring, surveillance systems, and integrated command centers.

Key Responsibilities

Support design and implementation of Smart City projects and digital infrastructure.

Coordinate deployment of IoT devices, sensors, and smart utility solutions.

Work with GIS platforms, spatial databases, and urban data systems.

Assist in developing smart mobility, traffic management, and public safety solutions.

Monitor project execution, timelines, and vendor deliverables.

Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and presentations.

Coordinate with municipal authorities and stakeholders.

Analyze urban data and generate actionable insights.

Support integration of various smart city systems and platforms.

Ensure compliance with project standards, specifications, and government guidelines.

Required Skills

Understanding of Smart City concepts and urban infrastructure.

GIS Tools: ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer.

Knowledge of IoT platforms and sensor networks.

Understanding of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Basic knowledge of SCADA, CCTV, surveillance, and command center operations.

Experience with data analytics and dashboarding tools.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Project coordination and documentation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, GIS, Urban Planning, or related field.

Certification in GIS, IoT, Smart Cities, or Project Management preferred.

Experience working on Government, Municipal Corporation, Smart City Mission, Urban Development, or Infrastructure projects.
