Job Purpose:
Assist in the implementation of Health, Safety, Environment policies, and procedures and to ensure alignment with corporate, national, and international requirements and good practice to support the development of a safe environment within RUA.
Job Responsibilities:
- HSSE Management System: Comply and implement HSSE requirements as per RUA-approved HSSE Roles and Responsibilities.
- Assist HSSE management with the implementation and execution of RUA HSSE Management system and HSSE Policy requirements in respective programs.
- Perform HSSE Inspections and monitor RUA and contractors’ activities on site and evaluate compliance against RUA HSSE management system requirements and HSSE regulatory compliance.
- Raise and escalate the HSSE site issues and follow up on the rectification of the issue with Consultants and Contractors within the agreed time frame.
- Participate in the HSSE Meetings, Campaigns, and pieces of training to ensure it is up to the required standards.
- Effectively contribute to all the HSSE initiatives to achieve the HSSE department KPIs.
- Advise and provide technical support to the site team on all HSSE matters.
- Participate in all site training programs and awareness sections to support the continual improvement of HSSE awareness across the program.
- Ensure the implementation of a rigorous HSSE incident investigation process, including the appropriateness of corrective actions to prevent a recurrence.
- Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure Environmental Emergency response drills are conducted and evaluate the emergency response arrangements.
- Ensure the implementation of the RUA Safe System of Work.
- Assess, communicate, and monitor HSSE performance and compliance against the applicable HSSE regulations.
- Participate in HSSE investigations wherever required, review HSSE incident reports, and ensure recommended preventive actions are adequate to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in Reviewing of consultant’s and contractor’s Environmental prequalification process and evaluation against RUA HSSE requirements.
- Review HSSE reports and analysis of incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvements.
- Apply health, safety, environmental and security, and quality management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the functional systems, processes, and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
- Monitor and analyze HSSE compliance performance data across all organizational functions and service providers during operations across the master community.
- Track compliance trends, audit findings, and prepare performance dashboards and regulatory reports during operations across the master community.
- Maintain compliance databases and documentation systems for all HSSE audit and inspection activities during operations across the master community.
- Support audit activities and document compliance assessments with detailed analysis and recommendations during operations across the master community.
- Analyze compliance data to identify trends, gaps, and provide improvement recommendations during operations across the master community.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or any other related field.
- Proficient in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- No prior experience required.
- Eligible for Tamheer Program.
