Job Purpose:

The Smart City Systems Engineer supports the planning, design, coordination, and implementation of Smart City systems and digital infrastructure across development projects. The role focuses on integrating ICT/ELV networks, IoT platforms, and smart urban technologies within the built environment to enable connected, efficient, and sustainable developments. Working under the guidance of seniors and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and technology partners, the role ensures compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives, contributing to the delivery of scalable, interoperable, and future‑ready Smart City solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the review and evaluation of Smart City system designs, drawings, specifications, studies, and technical submissions prepared by consultants and vendors.
• Verify compliance with approved technical standards, Smart City strategies, reference architectures, project requirements, and defined performance criteria.
• Identify design gaps, technical issues, and coordination conflicts, and support resolution with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with senior managers, multidisciplinary teams, planners, designers, consultants, contractors, and technology vendors
• Stay informed of emerging Smart City technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Smart City standards, templates, tools, and delivery processes.
• Support Smart City system implementation readiness and assist in tracking technical deliverables, milestones, issues, and readiness across all project phases to support timely delivery.
• Support adherence to applicable national and international standards, regulatory requirements, authority guidelines, and approved governance frameworks.
• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Prepare accurate and timely functional deliverables and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & communication or Electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficient in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• No prior experience required.
• Eligible for Tamheer Program.
