Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Payroll Specialist role based in Riyadh with Sahat Almajd Trading Company. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting and verifying employee time records, calculating wages, and ensuring timely, accurate payroll runs. The role includes maintaining payroll data, updating employee records, managing benefits and deductions, and coordinating with HR and finance on workforce changes and approvals. The Payroll Specialist will handle payroll inquiries from employees, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies. The role also involves preparing payroll reports, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements for greater accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong payroll administration skills, including managing employee records and end-to-end payroll processing.
- Experience with payroll taxes and statutory deductions, including accurate calculation, reporting, and compliance.
- Knowledge of garnishments and other complex payroll deductions, with the ability to apply them correctly and confidentially.
- Familiarity with payroll services and systems, including using payroll software to run calculations, reports, and reconciliations.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Good understanding of local labor laws and regulations relevant to payroll in Riyadh/Saudi Arabia.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other productivity tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with HR, finance, and other internal stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with integrity.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; professional payroll certification is an advantage.
