Position: Transportation Team Leader

Location: Saudi Arabia

Type: Full-time

Role Purpose

• Responsible for leading daily transportation operations for owned fleet and outsourced trucks, ensuring proper demand planning, truck utilization, route execution, customer follow-up, and on-time delivery for local and cross-border shipments.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily transportation operations for owned fleet and outsourced trucks
• Plan truck requirements based on shipment demand, destination, and priority
• Follow up on load planning and dispatch for internal and external customer shipments
• Coordinate with internal and external customers for shipment updates and delivery follow-up
• Ensure smooth follow-up from booking until final delivery
• Handle delays, service issues, and operational escalations
• Coordinate with drivers on trip execution, route adherence, and delivery status
• Support route planning and follow shipment movement for local and cross-border operations
• Monitor truck utilization and daily execution discipline
• Coordinate with transport vendors to arrange outsourced trucks when required
• Follow up on vendor performance, truck availability, and service quality
• Review monthly invoices and validate trip records, outsourced charges, and supporting documents
• Review fleet and transport operating costs and ensure alignment with actual operations
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transportation reports
• Monitor KPIs, identify operational gaps, and support corrective actions to improve service and cost control

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation, fleet, logistics, or 3PL operations
• Strong hands-on experience in managing owned fleet and outsourced transport
• Experience in demand planning, dispatch, route follow-up, and daily transport execution
• Experience in local Saudi transportation and GCC / cross-border shipment follow-up
• Experience in customer coordination, driver management, and vendor follow-up
• Experience in reviewing invoices, validating transport costs, and preparing operational reports
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Strong operational follow-up and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage transportation priorities, urgent deliveries, and operational escalations
• Strong communication skills with internal teams, customers, drivers, and vendors
• Good reporting, cost validation, and KPI monitoring skills
• English is required; Urdu is preferred for coordination with non-Arabic-speaking drivers
• Relevant transport or fleet certifications are an advantage
