About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Reliability Engineering Manager to lead the reliability function for a world-class gasification and power facility. The role is responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, improving plant availability, and driving reliability excellence through data-driven strategies and advanced maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement reliability strategies to optimize performance and availability of critical assets
- Drive continuous improvement programs across maintenance and reliability functions
- Align reliability objectives with business and operational goals
Reliability & Maintenance Excellence
- Lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life
- Monitor asset performance, analyze reliability data, and identify improvement opportunities
- Oversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations to eliminate recurring issues
Asset Performance & Optimization
- Improve equipment reliability, MTBF, and overall plant efficiency
- Implement advanced reliability tools such as RCM, FMEA, and condition monitoring systems
- Ensure effective defect elimination and maintenance optimization programs
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Promote a strong safety culture across engineering and maintenance teams
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of reliability engineers and specialists
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to support plant performance
- Interface with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (mandatory)
- Master’s degree is an advantage
- Certifications such as CMRP, CRE, Six Sigma are preferred
Experience
- Minimum 10+ years in reliability engineering or maintenance
- 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Experience in energy, gasification, or power generation is highly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in RCM, RCA, FMEA, and maintenance strategies
- Experience with rotating equipment & critical industrial assets
- Proficiency in CMMS / APM systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance, AI/IoT-based monitoring tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
