Job Description - Procurement EngineerJob Title:

Procurement Engineer

Job Purpose:

To manage the procurement of engineering materials, equipment, and services by ensuring timely purchasing, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and adherence to company policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate purchase requests and technical specifications.
• Source qualified suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Conduct technical and commercial comparisons of supplier offers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and warehouse teams to meet procurement requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor database.
• Prepare procurement reports and monitor purchasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or any related engineering discipline).
• Fresh graduate or a minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, engineering procurement, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle).
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience in construction, industrial, or energy sectors is preferred.
• Valid driving license is preferred.
