The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily accounting operations of operations and maintenance projects.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure financial efficiency.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers to monitor project profitability and financial performance.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
• Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M), facilities management or contracting companies is highly preferred.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles (IFRS).
• Excellent budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems ( Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
