Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Jeddah. The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and accurate maintenance of financial records. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards, as well as supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. The role will oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles, monitor expense allocations, and ensure timely closing of the books. The Senior Accountant will also ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements, coordinate with external auditors, and recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls. Collaboration with finance, operations, and management teams is required to provide clear financial analysis and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including general ledger, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end and year-end closing.
• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis).
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management to support financial planning and control.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes, including coordination with external auditors.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, SOCPA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, including prior experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Experience in real estate, construction, or investment holding environments is a plus.
